About this tool

The Incentive Architecture™ is a five-layer framework introduced in Stick with Carrot (Jamie L. Bond, path.konkat, 2026) for understanding why systems produce the outcomes they do — regardless of what they intend. It consists of five interacting layers: Structural, Economic, Temporal, Behavioral, and Social & Reputational.

This scorecard assesses the health of each layer in your system and screens for the presence of seven recurring failure signatures — patterns that appear across organizations and sectors wherever incentive architecture is misaligned.

Diagnosis is not prescription. This tool will not tell you how to fix your system. It will show you what you are dealing with — and suggest where to look next.
